Please take a look at the pictures below. These pictures are dated 11 July 2012 and they were taken in a park in Pattaya. It is a little oasis somewhere in Pattaya.
The funny thing is that the farang society in Pattaya do not even know this park exist. Unfortunately most people are caught up in their daily routines so they never get to know their neighbourhood – Talk about walking through life blindfolded.
Nongprue Park opened autumn 2009 and word on the street is that Nongprue Mayor hired Nong Nooch Garden to create this park. For a long time this was MY PARK, I had it all to myself. Then slowly as time went by more and more Thais heard about this park. During the daytime it will be quiet in the park and from 16 – 19 hours it will be crowded. Some will be feeding the fish in the lake, and yes, the lake is full of big fish. Others come there to do some serious jogging or exercise and many bring their children to play in the park.
Recently the park has been taken over by young gangsters, young teens on motorbikes who have no manners, poor upbringing and no respect for anyone. I do not come there when they are around, I simply do not feel safe. Young troublemakers speed driving on their motorcycles. So where exactly is this park? You drive down Soi Siam Country Club and then follow the map below.
