PARKROYAL on Pickering Hotel is an iconic and uniquely designed landmark building. The hotel has 367 rooms, it is situated at the prominent junction of New Bridge Road and Upper Pickering Street, which is a key gateway into the Central Business District (CBD). The colorful districts of Chinatown and Clarke Quay, and Hong Lim Park are within a stone’s throw. The 15,000 square metres of greenery has a tremendous impact on the building.
PARKROYAL on Pickering is a 16-storey building with a height of only 89 m.
The project is designed by Singapore-based WOHA Architects.
• Architectural company: WOHA
I wonder if the architects at WOHA were inspired by the nearby One George Street that was designed by SOM.
One George Street
Construction started in 2009 and the project was completed in January 2013.
