Gateway Bangsue (Gateway บางซื่อ) is a new shopping mall by TCC Group. The development company, TCC Land Asset World Estate Co, is the retail and office building arm of TCC Land Group owned by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, also known as the liquor tycoon. Gateway Bang Sue is being built on nine rai of land at a cost of 4 billion baht. The shopping complex will have 40,000 sqm of space. Construction started in late 2016 and the project is scheduled to be completed in late 2018.

TCC Group have many new projects that will be developed under four brands: Asiatique, Gateway, Pantip Plaza and Boxspace. In 2016 the company bought Big C Supercenter (Thailand).
Thai-Bauer is doing the foundation works.
Thailand has three major conglomerates competing in the retail business: CP Group is owned by Dhanin Chearavanont, Central Group belongs to the Chirathivat family, and TCC group belongs to Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.
The MRT Purple Line is in the neighbourhood and can be reached at the grand Tao Poon interchange station. Furthermore there are a lot of new residential developments taking place in the area. A new mall at this location might not be such a bad idea after all.
